Situated in eastern Orlando’s Innovation Way - a high-tech business corridor stretching from the University of Central Florida to Orlando International airport - the Alafaya center represents a prime business location. As well as easy access to two major airports the site is close to several arterial highways that serve the wider metropolitan area. Alafaya lies about nine miles east of downtown Orlando, a city world-renowned for its theme parks. Perhaps for this reason Orlando is also a major center for business conferences and conventions. The presence of the military program executive office for simulation, training and instrumentation is a perfect example of the kind of high-tech facilities to have been based in the area over the past few years.
